A Gloucester branch of Run England, based in Quedgeley is led by Christine Campbell and Arthur Daley. The group started in 2011.

Christine has been running for 5 years and mainly enjoys running marathons and half marathons. She started running after watching a TV programme in which Steve Cram trained beginning runners to complete the London Marathon. Arthur has been running for over 40 years and prefers shorter races such as 5k and 5 miles.
Both take part in races on the country, track and road regularly and, see this group as a way of introducing new people to the joys of running.

The location at Sellars Bridge over the canal at Hardwicke, provides varied and scenic running using tow paths, field paths, road and rough and mown park land. Runs can be varied over flat courses or hills. Members run for a variety of reasons; some aiming at a particular race or distance, some at getting fitter and some losing weight. Others are recovering from (running) injuries and using the slower pace to return to fitness whilst enjoying the company  and benefits of running with others.

Training sessions in all disciplines are structured and supervised by UK Athletics licensed coaches
